Teppen launches a new Super Spooky Village expansion with an abundance of new maps and anniversary events

Capcom’s digital collectible card game Teppen has offered a preview of its upcoming patch, which brings an abundance of new cards mostly themed around Resident Evil Village and Ghosts N’ Goblins, but implements new additions based on the other Capcom properties like Monster Hunter, Mega Man, Street Fighter and more.

The big highlight of this expansion is certainly the addition of Resident Evil Village cards. By adding the game’s four main antagonists as separate maps, each with their own unique mechanics, Teppen has finally added maps based on the latest release in the popular survival horror franchise. These cards, in case you’re curious, are Lady Dimitrescu, Puppeteer Lady Donna, Mutant Lord Moreau, and Lord Heisenberg. If you’ve played through the game, you’ll know that these are the four main bosses you need to defeat to complete the game, so it’s nice to see such major characters finally getting a role within Teppen.

But that’s not all! The other big focus of this update is Ghosts N’ Goblins, the classic 2D platformer. He gets the addition of Arthur – the game’s protagonist – as a card, alongside his damsel in distress, Princess Prin Prin. Arthur himself is one of the cards in this patch that introduces a whole new mechanic called Quests. This is a new card ability that basically allows you to fulfill a prerequisite such as “do X damage with this card” or “draw X cards”, and when fulfilled will upgrade said card with whatever which ranges from brand new card ability to simply polishing its stats.

And finally, the last main objective – this one is reminiscent of a true classic: the legendary old school 2D fighter Darkstalkers. While Darkstalkers already has some representation within Teppen with Jedah and her minions, this update adds the ever-lovable cat-girl Felicia as a brand new card to add to your decks.

Phew! Quite an update, this one. And those are just the highlights! There are plenty of other smaller maps being added from the franchises mentioned above alongside some anniversary events, so if you’d like to take a look at the official patch notes, check out the website.
