He said the soldiers deliberately hampered the arrival of students at two local schools, located on the main road connecting the city of Ramallah to the city of Nablus.

The soldiers, he added, fired tear gas canisters at students and their families who came to make sure their children entered school safely, causing a number of people to suffocate. between them.

Meanwhile, Israeli settlers, under military protection, are deliberately obstructing the school in Al-Lubban Ash-Sharqiyaschools by attacking students at the gates of the school, as confirmed by the head of the village municipal council, Yacoub Owais.

He added that a number of villagers took to the main street in the morning to protest the settler violence. Clashes ensued with soldiers and settlers.

Over the past two days, Israeli soldiers attacked schoolgirls near the school on the main Ramallah-Nablus road, firing tear gas in their direction and causing a large number of choking cases estimated at over 70. .

Attacks on education by Israeli military forces and Israeli settlers in Palestine constitute serious violations of children’s rights to education and development. These attacks are particularly prevalent in the most vulnerable areas of the West Bank – Area C, H2 and Jerusalem.

More than 700,000 Israelis live in exclusively Jewish colonial settlements across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank, in violation of international law.
