Another local restaurant has been added to the primarily San Diego-focused welcome list at Seaport Village. With familiar names like Mike Hess Brewing, Mr. Moto Pizza, and Sam the Cooking Guy already up and running, and projects like a tasting room and a quick and casual Old Harbor Distilling Co. seafood restaurant on the way, the revitalized waterfront center Board of Port Commissioners has just approved a lease for Crack Taco Shop to join the mix.
Fitting into a 560 square foot retail space that is in the process of being converted into a fast and casual eatery, Crack Taco Shop will offer outdoor seating along the boardwalk in Seaport Village’s Lighthouse District. , near Spill the Beans. The concept is an extension of Cardiff’s Seaside Market, best known for ‘Cardiff Crack’, its popular Burgundy pepper tri-tip.
A first Crack Taco Shop location opened in Mission Valley in 2019, serving a menu of tacos and burritos filled with the famous marinated beef along with other meats, seafood, and vegetables. Scheduled to open in the summer of 2022, this outpost will also offer breakfast, sandwiches, nachos, and more, as well as Micheladas specialties, beer, wine and sangria.
Retail Insite Allison Campbell represented both the tenant and the landlord in the lease.
With approximately seven vacant spaces to fill, Seaport Village’s ongoing transformation is almost complete.
